2022 Dowler Reunion
Dowler family gathers for reunion
Some 85 years ago, back in 1937, the Dowler families gathered for their annual family reunion. The Dowlers are descendants of William Wesley Dowler who came to the Arkansas City and Winfield area in 1881 from Wheeling, W. Va. Two of nine children of William and Alvina Dowler descendants who attended were from the Warren Wesley Dowler and the Doliver Domer Dowler family descendants.
Fifty plus people were in attendance on Aug. 6 at Roy Dowler’s old dairy farm. Wayne and Herlinda Dowler, Christy Dowler Parker, Cindy Dowler Wells, Richard and Judy Dowler and Oakley Peters, Annette Gilmore Roach, Bonnie Dowler Gilmore, Lois Dowler Jennings, Stephen and Amanda Jennings and their two kids, Stephanie Jennings, Willie and Joyce Dowler Harjo, Kenny Harjo, Ken Bryant, Arkansas City; Amanda Dowler and her three kids, Cambridge; Delbert and Iva Lea Brant, Winfield; Carolyn Newman, Benton; Nancy Newman Duncan, Springfield, Mo.; Carissa Speck, Kris Nuss, Norman, Okla.; Debra Bryant Teufel, Hutchinson; Darren and Charlotte Dowler, Winfield, Mo.; Gerald and Clifdel Dowler, O’Fallon, Mo.; Alvina Ruth Dowler, Jim and Kathy Dowler, Jared, Kolten and Paisley Dowler, Brandon and Kammi Dowler and their two kids, Newark, Okla.; John and Karen Dowler Kelly, Matt Kelly, Kathy Dowler Jones, Wichita; John and Kim Dowler Whitlock, Escondido, Calif.
